Continuing education for nurses

The Maxim Rewards Continuing Education (CE) Program is designed to help our caregivers advance their careers and maintain certifications. It’s web based, so employees can take courses when it is convenient for them. Participating Maxim offices provide this service at no cost.

In-person training

Our in-house Learning & Development team hosts regular in-person training sessions. Participants in select programs also travel to our corporate office for a week of networking with colleagues.

In our field offices, our local Clinical teams invite caregivers into the office for annual Skills Fairs to renew compliance and skills certifications.

Online training

Our annual training libraries house our annual compliance training and new hire orientation courses as well as a growing selection of topics designed to help employees learn new skills. Topics range from leadership development and new manager training to reporting elder abuse and body mechanics.

We offer best-in-class training programs for new graduates joining our team and tuition discounts for current employees seeking an advanced degree from a university.

  • Novice Nurse Training Program

    Our Novice Nurse Training Program is designed to provide a year of hands-on learning and/or support to RNs, LPNs and LVNs with less than one year of experience.

  • University Partnerships

    We partner with schools to significantly reduce the cost of select degree programs for our team members and caregivers – waivers for application fees, personalized coaching and delayed billing may apply for some programs. We currently partner with: the University of Maryland Global Campus, Chamberlain University, Capella University, Strayer University, National University, Thomas Edison State University, the University of Phoenix, ECPI University, Liberty University, Walden University and the University of Arizona Global Campus.
