Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work on our Transition team. The Transition Team is a specialized group of skilled nurses whose mission is to provide immediate, high-quality care to newly admitted patients while our office recruits permanent caregivers. Nurses on this team deliver all authorized hours in the home for a provisional period of 1–90 days. Once replacement nurses are hired, they’ll receive hands-on training and shadowing opportunities with the Transition Team before taking over care.

Key Details:

  • Hands-on training provided
  • Pay: $37.50–$41.50/hour
  • Relatively Flexible scheduling – PT and FT
  • College partnerships & continuing education

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing skilled nursing care per prescribed orders
  • Assessing and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Documenting nursing diagnoses and collaborating with healthcare team

Requirements:

·Successful completion of competency/skills validation (Trach care, Ventilator management, G-Tube care, Pediatrics & adults)

·Strong customer service, communication, and professionalism

·Travel distance up to 45 minutes* (bonus added for over 45 minutes)

·Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.

·Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).

·Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.

·Current BLS card.

·One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
