Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a School Health Aide to work with students who require instructional, environmental/classroom, and personal care support. Currently seeking aides in the Parkesburg/Atglen area, and/or Kennett Square.

Responsibilities
May ride the bus to and from school with patient
Address students medical needs to allow them to attend school in a traditional setting and make progress towards their educational goals
Assist with redirection of behaviors and ensure student safety
Support students by reviewing and following their school IEP and BIPs
Assistance with personal care activities such as toileting
Takes and records oral and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered
Assists with mobility, positioning, transfers, and using transfer/mobility devices as applicable
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience acting as a Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferred
Computer proficiency preferred
Successful completion of background screening and onboarding process required
Successful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance training, and all other assigned trainings as applicable required
Successful completion of Maxim’s Competency Program required
Proficiency in the English language required
Current certificate as applicable per state and / or client requirement
